We’ve all had a glass of orange juice in the morning. What better refreshing pairing to go with a full breakfast than a tall glass of naturally sweet, nutrient-rich juice? But sometimes, those store-bought varieties are loaded with preservatives and additives—like sugar—to put them about on par with a can of soda. If the idea of drinking soda for breakfast doesn’t appeal to you, then this is the recipe you need to try.

This strawberry juice is made from just one ingredient: strawberries. That’s it. All you need to do is blitz them through a juicer or your blender, strain out any pulp, and you have an incredibly refreshing, all-natural, nutrient-packed juice that’s the perfect way to kick off your morning. I especially love it during the summer months, when berries are at their peak.

Strawberry Juice

Sweet summer goodness

Fresh, in-season strawberries have a lush, juicy texture and natural sweetness that just can’t be matched. That short burst of ripeness makes this recipe feel special, even if you have it morning after morning. It tastes like sunshine.

The first sip is sweet and floral; the second brings subtle tartness. And that red-pink color just looks like a summer sunset in a cup.

If you want to use frozen strawberries, you can do that in a pinch, too! This is the way to go if strawberries aren’t in season near you, as frozen produce is picked at peak ripeness. Make sure to thaw them first before you blitz them into juice.

How do I store leftovers?

This juice is ideally best enjoyed fresh. However, you can pour any leftover juice into airtight jars or bottles and refrigerate it right away. It stays fresh for up to 48 hours. Any longer than that, and it will start to lose its bright, fresh flavor. You can also freeze the strawberry juice in ice cube trays for up to three months; thaw in the fridge before serving.

Serving suggestions

The best part about any fruit juice is that you can have it any time of day and with almost any meal. If you’re looking to doll up a decadent breakfast, have some strawberry juice with this Coconut Whipped Cream French Toast. Looking for a delicious accompaniment for your healthy homemade snack? Drink some strawberry juice with your latest batch of Apple Cider Vinegar Gummies. Want to end your day with something sweet? Have a glass of strawberry juice with this Marbled Chocolate Banana Bread for the best of both worlds.
