Thoughts about what God has been teaching me throughout the week!
Hi friends!
It’s been awhile! With the move and getting settled, I haven’t had a lot of time – but I am feeling settled now and wanted to get back into a monthly faith post!
I did a Facebook Live the other day about my top verses that help me focus on GOD and not food and my body, and I thought they would be really helpful for you too!
I explain more about each verse, and what it means to me, in the actual video, but for your reference, I talk about:
1 Corinthians 10:31 – So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
Matthew 6:25 – “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?
1 Timothy 4:8 – For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.
1 Corinthians 6:12 – “I have the right to do anything,” you say–but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”–but I will not be mastered by anything.
I would love to hear what resonated with you more! Let me know in the comments!
Happy Sunday!
P.s this is a replay of a Facebook live, if you’re wondering why I talk to people -they were commenting 🙂
Hi Taylor,
Something I appreciate about your brand is connecting the dots between faith, our wellness, and celebrating the beauty of healthy eating!
As a fellow Christ-follower, editor, and certified health coach, I am thrilled to find a website bursting with beautiful food and built on the ultimate cornerstone– Christ! I found your website through the job application for a Food Editor (which I jumped on the chance to apply for) and I’m so grateful found Food Faith Fitness.
As for this post’s scripture that resonated most, my favorite scripture has to be “1 Corinthians 10:31 – So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God”. It amazes me that the Lord gave us such beautiful and mouth-watering natural food that He created out of His goodness. I think you’ll land the concept of the astounding beauty of the wholesome natural foods God created for us to enjoy, and in doing so, we become healthier and stronger and transform into the most loving versions of ourselves He intended for us to be.
I hope that this brand continues to be blessed and grow because we need to live in a world where more people, especially the church, are excited to eat and drink for the glory of God so we can fulfill our Kingdom purposes!
I can’t wait to see how this brand grows, so I’ll be following along (no matter what comes of my job application). Excellent job establishing a clear and beautiful Christ-centered brand, and many blessings for the next steps!
Warmly,
Kimberly Nanney
